FIVE APPS EVERY BUSINESS OWNER NEEDS

Updated: Dec 24, 2021

Do I need to use apps?

That’s like asking, “Do I need cheese on my pizza or Snickers coffee creamer in my coffee?”

Seriously, is that even a question anymore? Mobile apps are changing the way we do business. As busy as we are, many of them have become necessities. No matter what type of business you own or plan on starting, it needs to run as efficiently as possible. There are quite a few apps that can help.

What I’ve put together for you isn’t just a list of apps for the office. Au contraire, my friends! It’s a list of apps that will help you through your busiest days.

Let's Begin With Food...

Instacart or Wholefoods – get your groceries delivered so you can focus on other things.

Mosaic or Sunbasket: Meal kits or chef-prepared meals. There are many more to choose from.

House cleaning (Yeah, there are apps for that too.): Tody – you’ll be surprised how this will help you stay on top of your tasks.

Massage on demand (Hey, it’s necessary sometimes.): Zeel or Soothe: Wellness on Demand.

For the business portion, I only planned to list five apps and got carried away. But this is a great list to get you started. Hopefully, I’m introducing you to some gems you never knew about.

Create engaging social media posts, ads, videos: Canva, Placeit, Deposit Photos, Unsplash, Videoshop, PowerDirector.

Facebook Business Suite allows me to schedule my Instagram and Facebook posts.

Accounting: Gusto and/or QuickBooks – allows me to take care of payroll from my phone when I’m away from the office.

Shipping: Stamps.com, ShipStation.

Communication with team and/or organization, project management: Slack, Trello or Asana.

Evernote: Got new ideas? Don’t lose them. Use voice, text, or photos to store them.

Docusign: Collect signatures on the go.

MileIQ: track your miles

TikTok: Just joking. It works, but we're not talking social media today.

Let me know of others you use.
